Chop Chop Inc. Machines List — Confirmed in the Released Game

✔ Last checked: 2026-08-12

The catalog got real. Before launch we could verify six generic station types. Five days of official patch notes and player reports later, we can name specific machines, say what gates what, and point at the one that eats your afternoon.

Updated for the release build. Items marked “official note” are confirmed because NullRef patched them — the most reliable evidence a machine exists.

The confirmed list

Machine / structure What it does Confidence
Saw / wood processor Logs into planks — the spine of the economy ✅ Confirmed — official
Crafting station(s) Blueprint furniture building; 100+ recipes at scale ✅ Confirmed — official
Grindstone Axe upgrade path. Stone wood in, stone axe out ✅ Confirmed — progression gate, widely documented
Auto tree harvester Chops without you. Speed doubled in hotfix #4 ✅ Confirmed — official note
Cannon (built on a cannon foundation) Shipping goods to customers ✅ Confirmed — official note (hotfix #3 fixed a foundation softlock)
Windmill Repairable. Repairing it yields the water-walking clogs 🟡 Reported — consistent across release guides
Animal fences Livestock structures, auto-pickup compatible since hotfix #4 ✅ Confirmed — official note
Ingot crafting Metal wood into Metal Ingots — cost cut from 2 to 1 in hotfix #4 ✅ Confirmed — official note
Electronics Press (Electro Juicer) Crafts batteries from metal ingots and electric wood. Built next to the furnace ✅ Confirmed — Steam thread, dev-corroborated location

Cooking station Meals that buff stats — reviewers call the effect small ✅ Confirmed — official
Component shop Buy parts you can’t craft ✅ Confirmed — official

The two that will annoy you

The cannon’s delivery UI. Players consistently report that nothing on screen tells you which container a given order wants loading. The workaround is unglamorous: keep the quest log open and cross-reference before you fire. Expect to check twice.

The recipe list. There is no search and no sort, and the released game has well over a hundred recipes. Finding one specific blueprint means scrolling. This is the second-most-cited quality-of-life complaint after the save bug, and nothing has been announced about fixing it.

What the patch notes tell us about balance

Two real numbers we can cite, because the developers published them:

  • Metal Ingots now cost one metal wood, down from two (hotfix #4). Metal wood is therefore a real resource with a real recipe — see stone trees for the special-wood picture.
  • Auto tree harvester speed doubled (hotfix #4), which reframes late-game automation entirely.

Beyond those, exact machine costs and tier stats remain undocumented. We still won’t publish numbers we can’t source.

About those third-party tier tables

Some sites circulate detailed axe and machine tier charts with specific damage percentages. We re-checked them against the released game’s patch notes and player threads and still could not corroborate the numbers. One of their common claims — that a higher axe tier is needed to chop stone trees — turns out to be backwards: stone wood is what unlocks the stone axe. Treat confident stat charts accordingly.

FAQ

What machines are in Chop Chop Inc.?

Confirmed in the released game: the saw or wood processor, blueprint crafting stations, a grindstone you upgrade for better axes, an auto tree harvester, a cannon used for deliveries, a repairable windmill, animal fences, plus cooking and exercise equipment and the component shop.

What does the grindstone do?

It is your axe upgrade path. Feeding it stone wood unlocks the stone axe, which is a hard progression gate — not an optional damage boost. Details on the stone tree page.

What is the cannon for?

Shipping goods. You build a cannon foundation first, and players report the delivery UI doesn't clearly indicate which container to load, so keep the quest log open. A softlock after building the foundation was fixed in hotfix #3.

Are the machine and axe tier lists online accurate?

Mostly still not. Several sites publish confident stat tables we cannot corroborate against patch notes or player reports. Where official notes give a real number, we cite it and say so.
